The Volta a Catalunya (Tour of Catalonia) is a professional cycling race taking place in Catalonia (Spain).
Created in 1911, the race appeared before the Vuelta, the famous Tour of Spain and is parts of the UCI World Tour calendar since 2011.
The Tour of Catalonia is characterized by its montainous profile taking the roads of Andorra and some Pyrenean moutains, it also often finish by a stage in Barcelona on a circuit including the famous Montjuïc climb and its park.
For this 100th edition in 2021, the cyclists will have to cover about 1 094 kilometers divided into 7 stages.
Stage 1 – Calella > Calella – 178,4 km – 22nd march
Stage 2 (ITT) – Pla de l’Estany > Pla de l’Estany – 18,5 km – 23rd march
Stage 3 – Canal Olimpic de Catalunya > Vallter 2000 / Setcases – 203,1 km – 24th march
Stage 4 – Ripoll > Port Ainé – 166,5 km – 25th march
Stage 5 – La Pobla de Segur > Manresa – 201,1 km – 26th march
Stage 6 – Tarragona > Mataro – 193,8 km – 27th march
Stage 7 – Barcelona > Barcelona – 133 km – 28th march
