Paris-Tours

Paris-Tours is a French one day cycling race created in 1896 which makes it one of the oldest of the professionnal cycling calendar. The race is also second behind one of the Monument of cycling, Paris-Roubaix in terms of editions and has the same amount as the Tour of Lombardy, another Monument.

Paris-Tours is nicknamed “The Classic of the falling leaves” aswell as the Tour de Lombardy thanks to the period of the year the race is disputed : Autumn. Its flat profile makes it an important race for the sprinters but punchers also tends to win it.

The race is taking part of the UCI ProSeries calendar, the second highest level of international cycling.
