La Vuelta

La Vuelta ciclista a España (Tour of Spain in English), also known as La Vuelta is a stage cycling race created in 1935 by the newspaper Informaciones following the successes of the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia, both created by newspapers (L’Auto and La Gazzetta dello Sport)

Considered as the third most important cycling race in the world, La Vuelta is part of the Grand Tours trio with the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. Like them, La Vuelta introduced a leader’s jersey with a special colour, red.

An ambitious team aiming to return to the top of the General Classification!

The Groupama-FDJ cycling team, led by David Gaudu and Stefan Küng, will set off from Lisbon to Madrid, some 3,265 km away, with a vengeance and full of ambition. For this edition of La Vuelta 2024, the General Classification will be the team’s main objective, as well as a freedom to be offensive for other riders such as Stefan Küng, Kévin Geniets, Quentin Pacher etc.
