The race line-up
La Vuelta ciclista a España (Tour of Spain in English), also known as La Vuelta is a stage cycling race created in 1935 by the newspaper Informaciones following the successes of the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia, both created by newspapers (L’Auto and La Gazzetta dello Sport)
Considered as the third most important cycling race in the world, La Vuelta is part of the Grand Tours trio with the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. Like them, La Vuelta introduced a leader’s jersey with a special colour, red.
Second Grand Tour of the season in sight for Thibaut Pinot in company of his loyal lieutenants !
Thibaut Pinot, David Gaudu and their teammates will go forward on this Vuelta 2020 with envy and panache after a Tour de France hampered by numerous falls. They will have to go through the Pyrenean stages especially with an arrival at the Col du Tourmalet, an ascent Thibaut Pinot appreciates and where he was victorious on the Tour de France 2019.
An exceptional 2020 edition because it will take place at the end of October to the beginning of November with only 18 stages due to the covid-19 health crisis.
