2024 Paris Olympic Games Road Race
The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, the 33rd Olympiad of the modern era, will take place between July 26 and August 11, 2024. This is the third time Paris will host the Summer Olympics, 100 years after the last edition in 1924.
Cycling has been on the program of the Summer Olympics since the first edition of the modern era in 1896, along with athletics, artistic gymnastics, fencing and swimming.
For this edition of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: a relatively hilly road course for puncheurs with numerous bumps is on the program with over 2800m of positive vertical ascent starting from the capital under the Eiffel Tower towards southwest Paris. From 200km onwards, riders enter Paris and complete three laps of a circuit over the famous cobbled Butte Montmartre (1km at 6.5%).
