Itzulia Basque Country
The Itzulia Basque Country (Vuelta Ciclista al Pays Vasco in Spanish) is stage race which takes place on the mountainous roads of the Baqsue Country. The race also takes part of the UCI World Tour calendar.
Created in 1924 under the name “Northen Circuit”, the race stopped existing between 1936 to 1968 before coming back and being disputed each year.
In 2021, David Gaudu distinguished himself by winning the sixth and last stage in Arrate, notably finishing ahead of the GC winner, Primoz Roglic.

Stage 2 – Urùn > Kanbo – 160 km – april, 2nd
Stage 3 – Espelette > Altsasu – 190,9 km – april, 3rd
Stage 4 – Etxarri Aranatz > Legutio – 157,5 km – april, 4th
Stage 5 – Vitoria-Gasteiz > Amorebieta-Etxano – 175,9 km – april, 5th
Stage 6 – Eibar > Eibar – 137,8 km – april, 6th
